25th November 2008 was a big day for the Project - we heard from the Big Lottery Fund that we had been awarded £385,000 from their Community Buildings Programme. We had already raised over £100,000 by that point, and were £69,000 short of the target. So even though that was still a large figure to raise, that was the day we knew that the Project would soon be going ahead.

The Big Lottery Fund contacted the local press - and we rang round all the User Organisations. The result was this celebratory photo!
